The Tradition of Isildur was a secretive tradition practiced by the Kings and then Stewards of Gondor. Established by Isildur, there were two parts to this tradition.

First was a visit to the Tomb of Elendil, originally on Amon Anwar later in Minas Tirith, when the heir to the throne came of age.

The second part of the tradition was to pass on the secrets of the kingdom, this was initially told verbally from father to son. This changed when Romendacil 1 (Tarostar) changed the tradition to have the secrets in a sealed scroll, to be given to the heir at the coming of their reign.

This tradition was continued by the Stewards of Gondor
