Ciryandil (TA 820-TA 1015) was the 14th King of Gondor and 3rd Ship-King. He continued his father Earnil 1st work of building more ships and amassing a large fleet.
He was slain during the siege of Umbar by the Haradim. He was succeeded by his son Ciryaher who became known as Hyarmendacil 1.
Trivia-his name comes from Quenya but is not fully explained, but when broken down Ciryandil means “ship lover”.
